Privacy policy
Effective date: October 19, 2026
This policy describes the personal Windows application AM8 Mail Notifier and this informational website.
Purpose and Gmail permission
The application uses Google's gmail.send permission solely to send personal product-monitoring reports and delivery tests explicitly requested by its owner. It does not request permission to read, search, modify, or delete existing Gmail messages. The authorized sender address and configured recipient address are stored to deliver reports to the intended destination.
Information stored locally
OAuth credentials are stored on the owner's Windows computer using Windows CurrentUser DPAPI encryption. The computer also stores query timestamps, public product prices, offers, sellers, shipping conditions, page evidence, message queues, and Gmail delivery receipts. Mail queue records can retain the notification content and sender and recipient addresses. Monitoring backups exclude OAuth credentials, but may include monitoring and mail records.
Use and disclosure
Google's authorization services process the requests needed to authorize and refresh access. Gmail processes notification messages and recipient addresses for delivery. Reports are sent only to the recipient configured by the owner. Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train generalized AI models.
The application’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
This website
This static website provides tool information and policies. It does not collect OAuth tokens, connect to the local monitoring database, or provide a Gmail login form. No advertising, analytics scripts, or application tracking cookies are added by this website. Cloudflare hosts these pages and may process standard connection information, such as IP addresses and request metadata, to deliver and secure the website. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Retention and control
Local monitoring history and mail records remain until the owner deletes them. The owner can stop the Windows monitoring task, delete local credentials or history, and revoke access through Google Account third-party connections. Revocation prevents future authorized sending, but does not delete messages already delivered or copies in historical backups.
Contact and changes
For questions or deletion requests, contact the application's owner using the support contact shown on its Google authorization screen. Material changes to these practices will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
